Hneď na začiatok upozorňujem, že sa nechystám obhajovať Apple a jeho lopatoidné telefóny. Už som dal verejne viackrát najavo, že sa s veľkosťou nad 4″ pri smartphonoch nestotožňujem, nech sú argumenty akékoľvek. Asi aj preto som nikdy nepoužíval Android zariadenia, keďže tie šli (od počiatku pravých smartphonov) práve cestou čo najväčšej veľkosti (ak sa bavíme o high-end smartphonoch). Chcel som sa vyjadriť iba k ošiaľu „aféry bendgate“, ktorý stále prúdi sociálnymi sieťami.

Prečo to vlastne celé vzniklo?

Jednoduchá odpoveď: pretože sa Apple produkty vždy tvárili, alebo snažili tváriť, dokonalo. Že vedia všetko, že sú najodolnejšie, najvýkonnejšie, najlepšie nadizajnované, najinovatívnejšie. Keď sa potom objaví akýkoľvek „prd v gatiach“, tak je z toho aféra. Predsa dokonalý telefón sa nemôže ohýbať! Takže si za to Apple môže sám. A aj keď som priaznivec Apple produktov, doprajem im to. Iba takéto kopance ich posunú vopred a celkom neusnú (už sa nedá povedať že „na vavrínoch“, Samsung ich už predbehol).

Čo to znamená pre bežného používateľa?

Absolútne nič. Ak nie ste totálne nemotorný slon v porceláne, tak si predsa neohnete telefón. Na ohnutie treba vyvinúť váhu zhruba 31 kg v danom mieste (nie na celkovú plochu), aby sa začal telefón deformovať. Tzn. treba sa trafiť do značnej náhody, aby sa niečo také vôbec stalo. Väčšia pravdepodobnosť je, že vám padne z krivých rúk a rozbije sa displej.

Toto proste nie je rozhodujúci faktor, pri kúpe telefónu. Vždy ním boli veľkosť, výkonnosť, použiteľnosť, výdrž batérie, kvalita displeja, foťáku, dizajn atď. Prečo by sme k tomu mali pridávať silu ktorou sa telefón ohne, ak sa jedná o rádovo desiatky kg.

Ako sú na tom ostatné telefóny?

Dlho sa hovorilo iba o iPhone 6 plus, neskôr sa začali objavovať aj porovnania ohýbania iných telefónov, napr. Samsung Galaxy Note 4. iPhone 6 plus asi skutočne patrí medzi najľahšie ohnuteľné telefóny, ale stále platí to, čo som písal hore. Nezáleží na tom.
