Mám niekoľko starších finančných magazínov, s relatívne nízkou návštevnosťou (cca 1000 UIP / mesiac). Tento segment má veľmi slušné možnosti monetizácie, no veľmi ťažko zohnať dobrý, konvertujúci traffic (a hlavne vôbec nejaký traffic).

Rozdiel medzi výkonnosťou AdSense a správneho affiliate môže byť skutočne obrovský. V mojom príklade vyhráva affiliate monetizácia o takmer 170%. Na drvivej väčšine tématických webov bude výkonnejší affiliate. Ale musíte ho správne použiť. Musíte správnym spôsobom nasmerovať návštevnosť na správne miesto (hovoril som o tom aj v mojej prednáške). Potom sa môžeme baviť o obdobných porovnaniach a príkladoch.
Vo väčšine prípadov však affil fungovať nebude, ak máte zábavný funny web (ak teda nemáte premakanú stratégiu, kde funny obsah úzko nadväzuje na affil produkty).
Ďalšia zaujímavosť je, ak budujete web o zdravom stravovaní. Predstavte si, že roky makáte na veľmi kvalitnom obsahu o zdravej výžive, možno ste danú tému vyštudovali, možno vás len zaujíma. Zatiaľ som nemal možnosť vidieť reálne efektívnu affil kampaň webu takéhoto zamerania. Predsa nebudete propagovať tabletky na schudnutie, či erekciu v odborných článkoch o zdravom jedle. Fitness stroje a pomôcky do kuchyne (na prípravu zdravej výživy) môžu byť riešením, no nebudú tým hlavným core produktom. A spomeňte expertom na zdravú výživu Naturhouse, čo vám povedia :-).
